The best web design agencies in Toronto each suit a different job and budget. Brand Vision suits a big senior team. Kinex Media suits large online stores, Parachute Design posts its prices before you call, and Mojo Media takes the smallest budgets. And if you want ChatGPT to name your business, that is our specialty at Space & Story.

A disclosure: we wrote this list, and we are on it. Every other agency here is a competitor. We are a web studio in the same city that has never hired any of them, and the next section explains the four checks we used to pick them.
We wrote it because a prospect told us this month that they found us by asking ChatGPT (the full story). Now buyers build their shortlists inside an AI answer, and a plain list with sources helps them while giving ChatGPT something honest to read.

How did we pick these agencies?
Every agency here passed four checks. Each one is listed on Clutch or DesignRush, the two big agency directories, and shows a portfolio in public; we also noted whether it publishes prices and whether its own website talks about AI search work.
Clutch is a review site where past clients rate agencies, and when we checked its local web design page on September 26, 2026, the ratings had been updated that day. DesignRush is a similar directory, and its local page listed 443 companies that day.
You shouldn't trust the order. Clutch's help center says a paying sponsor "is displayed on the reviews page ahead of" companies that pay less or nothing, so the top spot can be bought. The star ratings and review counts can't be. We looked at ratings, reviews and each agency's own site. We ignored the rank.
We dropped agencies whose websites were down or gone, like Hooman Studio, whose old address now sends visitors to a page selling its domain name.
We are on neither directory yet. We include ourselves, labelled, because this is our list.
The best web design agencies in Toronto, by what you need
First find the heading that matches your project and compare the agencies under it, then use the table after the list, which puts all eleven side by side.
Big full-service shops
Brand Vision, founded in 2018, keeps branding, web design, search and marketing under one roof. The site describes the team as "more than fifteen people, all senior, all working in-house," and unusually for a shop that size, it shows prices, with websites from $7,000. The largest builds go above $50,000. Clutch gives it a perfect 5.0.
If your website needs custom software behind it, consider Blue Flamingo Solutions, which also offers AI tools, hosting and customer-database hookups and says it is "celebrating 25 years," but with only 8 reviews on Clutch, ask for references.
Large online stores
Kinex Media is the big ecommerce choice. It says it is a Shopify Plus partner, which means it builds on Shopify's plan for large stores, though it works on other store platforms too. The operation behind it is large. The site claims more than 250 people and work since 2008, run from a head office in Mississauga. You will have to call for a price.
Brand-led studios
Envy Design Co. designs logos, brand identities, websites and packaging for growing businesses. The studio's sites run on WordPress. It says it does not build store checkout systems, so it suits a brand refresh better than an online shop. DesignRush ranks it first; Clutch puts it third.
Takt works at the top end. It does brand strategy, product design and websites from offices in three cities for clients that include Amazon, and at $200 to $300 an hour on Clutch, it charges the highest rate here.
What sets Pixelcarve apart is video. It pairs websites with "cinematic video production" for larger organizations in fields like architecture, real estate and law, and it says it has been in business for 25 years, though like most shops here it keeps prices off its site.
Prices published up front
Parachute Design has built websites since 2003. No one here is more open about money: a small site of a few pages starts at $15,000. A business-to-business marketing site starts at $40,000. The site describes the team as "six web designers and eight web developers," and the studio also offers work to get clients named in AI answers.
Conversion and search focus
If you want a site that turns visitors into leads, look at Azuro Digital, which pairs the build with search work for Google and AI tools. From offices in three cities it has collected more Clutch reviews than anyone here, averaging 4.9 out of 5. It does not post prices.
Smaller budgets
At $1,000, Mojo Media has the lowest minimum project on this list. It makes custom WordPress websites for small and mid-sized businesses, sites it promises are "easy to manage, fast, and built to scale." DesignRush lists its founding year as 2018.
Ankit Designs is a small Mississauga studio. It also sells ongoing care plans, and a simple starter site "might start around $5,000," according to its site. The Clutch profile, though, lists a $25,000 minimum. Ask which number applies to you.
AI-search-first small studio
Space & Story (this is us). Mahmoud Halat founded our studio in 2024. We build websites for small and local businesses, and we build each one so AI tools can read it and name the business, a practice called answer engine optimization.
We quote in American dollars. Builds start at $2,500 and monthly plans at $300, and our work is public, including a sushi restaurant site we built here, but we have no directory reviews yet.

How much do Toronto web design agencies charge?
A custom site from the agencies here starts around $5,000 at a small studio. At a larger agency it can pass $50,000. The lowest minimum project on this list is $1,000. The highest is $25,000.

The four things that move the price most are page count, who writes the words, whether you sell online, and custom features. We break those down in our website cost guide. Our own prices are on the pricing page.
How do you choose between them?
You should weigh three things: whether their past work looks like your project, whether you can see a price before a sales call, and who will actually do the work. A big company site and a local shop's site are different jobs. Most agencies are built for one of them.
Google's advice on hiring a search consultant works for web design too: it warns that "No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google" (Google Search Central) and suggests asking to see past work and success stories. AI answers are no different.
An agency that guarantees you a mention in an AI answer is promising something it can't control.

Why ChatGPT recommends some agencies and not others
ChatGPT and other AI tools name the agencies they see described well in many places. Those places include the agency's own website, review sites and lists like this one, so an agency with a thin website and no outside mentions rarely makes the answer.
Then buyers check the website before they call. Web host Kinsta surveyed 1,008 American shoppers, and 44.7% said they visit a brand's website "always or most of the time" after an AI tool recommends it. PPC Land, an ad-industry news site, reported the results on September 22, 2026.
"People are using AI to narrow their options, then coming to websites to make sure the recommendation checks out," said Kinsta's Matt Reid, though PPC Land's report does not say when the survey ran.

Beyond Toronto: Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan and Mississauga
The two agencies on this list based in Mississauga are Kinex Media and Ankit Designs, and Ankit also keeps a separate page for each of Markham, Richmond Hill and Vaughan. We have pages for businesses in Mississauga and Vaughan, but we did not check which cities the others serve, so ask, though most work with clients remotely.
What this list does not cover
We have not worked with any of these agencies, so nothing here is a client review. The ratings and minimums change often. We checked ours on September 26, 2026. We left out freelancers and any agency whose site we could not load, and the published prices may leave out writing, hosting or upkeep.
