The Imam Development Academy (ID Academy) trains more than prayer leaders. Its aim is people who can lead at work, at home, and in their community, and the program is free and in person, based in the Greater Toronto Area. The site we built is its digital home.
The Academy's premise needed to land in the first screen: that classical Islamic scholarship only does its job when it's paired with the skills to apply it. The hero states the dual mission plainly, "Authentic Knowledge. Applied Leadership.", and the program cards give a prospective student the facts they need to decide: 8 courses, January to April 2026, free, with a certificate track and an audit track.
The curriculum covers the core Islamic sciences, Aqidah (theology), Fiqh (jurisprudence), Tafsir (Quranic exegesis), and Sirah (prophetic biography), in an interface that stays modern and easy to read. Each course page lays out the syllabus, the faculty behind it, and what a student walks away knowing.
Under the surface the platform handles student registration and sign-in, a semester management system, faculty profiles, and volunteer onboarding. We built it in React with a clear, warm feel, because the Academy's whole approach is to make this education structured and open rather than gatekept.
